Jorge Alessandri is the president of the Miami-Dade Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO) and the Miami-Dade Fellowship of Christian First Responder ministry (FCFR). He is also a retired master sergeant from the Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD), where he continues to serve as a chaplain/chaplain supervisor and reserve officer, and the Coordinator for the Miami-Dade Multi-Agency Peer Support Team.
During his tenure at the Miami Beach Police Department, Jorge worked in various positions, including road patrol, Special Victims Unit, Secret Service Task Force, Internal Affairs, Administrative Sergeant and the Property and Evidence Unit. He helped start the first ever peer support team for MBPD as well, solidifying his determination for helping officers and their families.
In 2022, Jorge retired early because he felt led to do more in ministry and for his community. He has been married over 20 years and has an adult son, and he is a deacon with his home church, Christ Journey.
The FCPO/FCFR ministry means the world to him. He has witnessed how the love of Jesus has helped people overcome challenges they were unable to overcome on their own. Jorge has had his own struggles and thanks God for His deep love for us. He prays that you, too, would know how much you matter to God.

Marian Cruz is a police sergeant with the Surfside Police Department, where she has proudly served for over 21 years. Beyond the badge, she is the founder and president of Closet of Living Hope, a nonprofit ministry
that collects and distributes gently used clothing, shoes, and household items to individuals and families in need. Through partnerships with shelters, schools, police departments, churches, and community organizations, she strives to bring not only practical help but also hope and dignity to the most vulnerable. For Marian service isn’t just a profession, it’s a calling. Having faced emotional struggles, she has experienced healing and restoration through faith and service. Through serving others, she discovered that purpose is more powerful than position and that true identity is found not in a badge or a title, but in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Marian believes deeply that your job is not your identity, your purpose is, and our purpose is found in Him.
"To serve and support the brave men and women who protect and defend our communities and nation. Through prayer, discipleship, and practical ministry, we bring the life-changing Word of God into their daily lives guiding them from knowledge of Scripture to true spiritual transformation."
“To become a true life applicable Bible: taking the Word of God from ‘information’ to real life transformation.”
The Miami-Dade Fellowship of Christian First Responders (FCFR) was founded in 2023 by a dedicated group of Christian first responders who recognized a deep need for faith centered support within the community. Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, FCFR has since been committed to bringing faith and care to first responders, their families, and the broader public.
Building on this foundation, our ministry is part of a wider tradition rooted from the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO). The FCPO-USA began in October 1971, when two LAPD officers connected over Scripture at a Bible seminar in California. From those early gatherings, the movement expanded, ultimately incorporating as a nonprofit in 1974, launching newsletters and logos by the late 1970s, and growing to include local chapters across all 50 U.S. states. fcpo.org
While Miami-Dade FCFR has its own distinct mission within, we honor and embrace the nationwide heritage of FCPO in guiding, inspiring, and shaping our spiritual identity and purpose.
Our ministry offers a range of spiritual and community activities geared especially for first responders police, fire, military, and their families alongside outreach to the wider community. Key activities include:
These initiatives reflect our core mission: to bring the love of Christ, spiritual support, and practical care to those who protect and serve.
